Hope In The Streets
Opportunity Zone Jesus is an excited and hopeful participant of Hope In The Streets. They are a local ministry of the Love of Jesus in the River Valley area. They bring the Gospel of salvation through faith in Christ alone to the overlooked and unappreciated neighborhoods. They bring Bibles, food, clothing, smiles, hugs, conversation and offer prayer to all who desire it. They invite you to come as you are and enjoy a "Hope Dog" (hot dog), cotton candy, hot chocolate, bottled water and sometimes popcorn all free of charge. Their outreach event currently takes place very other Friday at the Rumford Public Parking Lot "snow dump" at the end of Cumberland Street. Their last event was on 2/27/2026. Now you can mark your calendar for every other Friday from there on.
Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is being offered by Justin and Erika Teixeira on Thursday and Sunday evenings at 6:30 PM. They are currently meeting at the Larry Labonte Recovery Center located at 412 Waldo Street in Rumford Maine. If you are struggling with any form of addiction or other life set back, you are cordially invited to come and meet Jesus and to see the power (authority) of Jesus being worked out in deliverance, in real time.

Opportunity Zone Jesus is an excited and hopeful participant of the FBCM breakfast devotionals. Breakfast starts with a prayer of blessing at 8 am. The food is served buffet style with a generous spread of sliced ham, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuits, english muffins and various morning beverages. The devoted time to God begins at 8:30 am and follows the material found in Paul David Tripp's "Everyday Gospel". The devotional portion begins and ends with prayer. It is devoted to the authority of God's Holy Word. The format closely resembles the order of the early church provided in 1st Corinthians chapter 14. Participants are encouraged to kindly contribute their thoughts on the "premise" (topic) of the day by an orderly raising of hands and taking turns.
