Hope In The Streets

Opportunity Zone Jesus is an excited and hopeful participant of Hope In The Streets.​ They are a local ministry of the Love of Jesus in the River Valley area. They bring the Gospel of salvation through faith in Christ alone to the all to often overlooked and unappreciated neighborhoods. They bring Bibles, food, clothing, smiles, hugs, conversation and offer prayer to all who desire it. They invite you to come as you are and enjoy a "Hope Dog" (hot dog), cotton candy, hot chocolate, bottled water and sometimes popcorn all free of charge. Their outreach event currently takes place very other Friday at the Rumford Public Parking Lot "snow dump" at the end of Cumberland Street. Their last event was on 2/27/2026. Now you can mark your calendar for every other Friday from there on.
